I have been running in to lots of ex-staff and ex-participants who have businesses. Why don't you tell us about yours? I have my own business too, called Inner Compass. It is a professional coaching business focussing on productivity and personal development for busy professionals. Check it out at www.innercompass.com.auI'd love feedback and I would love to know about your business too! Zoe

Hi Zoe, I met you at the 50th anniversary function which you did a fantastic job of organising. It was my first trip back to the base in just over 20 years and I felt very excited just to walk through the grounds again and see familiar places and building from a long time ago. We camped onsite (in a full tent) and I got to introduce my kids to OB (14 & 12). They had a fantastic time and from that weekend I don't think I will have much trouble convincing them to do an OB course.
I completed my course in 1986 (SA1586) starting from the National Base. Over the years I have also met a few past course participants and it was great to meet people at the 50th who are of a similar age and had done OB many years before, just to hear how they have gone since OB.
I live in Wollongong and would love to hear from anyone that was on my course to see how they years have treated them.
I run a mortgage broking business based from my home which has been very handy as I had a kidney transplant 8 months ago after 9 years on dialysis. Since the 50th anniversary I have started a new broking business and I called it Blue Peter Lending Solutions. The name itself may seem a bit tacky but it is a great lead-in to talk to people about OB. You would be surprised how many business's out there have blue peter in the name.
I browsed your innercompass site recently and signed up for the newsletter.
Regards
Ian Jervis OB 86
